UPDATE: Resident of House that Exploded in Arlington Made Bizarre Posts on Social Media Before the Blast

Authorities said a home exploded in Arlington, Virginia, on Monday night, rocking a neighborhood with a thunderous blast after police responded to a report of someone shooting a flare gun. The house fire is still being extinguished.

At around 4:45 p.m., police got reports of a man firing a flare gun from a property on the 800 block of North Burlington Street.

Officers were attempting to execute a search warrant about 8:30 p.m. when the suspect allegedly fired multiple rounds, according to officials. The house then blew up.

Neighbor Ann-Elise Quinn stated “I was in the back of my house, and I had been hearing some sort of firecracker-type sounds prior to this, and then there’s a loud boom, and my entire house shakes.”

Authorities have not disclosed details about the individual involved in the case, but potential insights may be gleaned from a social media account.

A person identified as James Yoo, as per publicly available records indicating residence at the dispatched address, has been consistently sharing paranoid diatribes on his LinkedIn profile. A recent post from three days ago specifically targets neighbors in the adjacent duplex unit.
