A department store in a mall in Montgomery County, Maryland, was evacuated while police dealt with a barricade situation.
A person barricaded themselves inside a JC Penney at Westfield Wheaton Mall on Veirs Mill Road, according to Montgomery County police.
According to police, the event is limited to one location and poses no danger to the public.

The incident was reported around 10:30 a.m.
Police say the situation has been contained to one area and there is no threat to the public.
