Sen. Lindsey Graham’s Phone Confiscated By FBI

Republican Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina has revealed that the FBI is investigating his phone following a suspected hacking attempt. Graham disclosed earlier this week that his phone is now in FBI custody following an incident in which someone attempted to breach his device by posing as Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.

During the Hill and Valley Forum, a technology event, Graham recounted receiving a message that appeared to be from Schumer, only to realize it was a fraudulent communication. He emphasized the vulnerability of modern technology, stating, “Anything you can create apparently can be hacked.”

Taylor Reidy, a spokesperson for Graham, informed CNN that the Senate Sergeant at Arms is actively investigating the potential breach of the senator’s phone. However, both the FBI and the Senate Sergeant at Arms declined to provide further comments on the matter.

This incident coincides with similar hacking attempts targeting other Senate staff members reported earlier this week.
