BREAKING: Officer-Involved Shooting Occurs Outside RNC Perimeter, The Officer Involved in Shooting Was From Ohio, Uknown If He’s Linked To Vance’s Security Detail

FOX6 News has reported that a Columbus, Ohio police officer shot an individual in Milwaukee near 17th and Vliet on Tuesday afternoon, July 16. This location is slightly over a mile from the security perimeter of the Republican National Convention.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office has been sent to the incident site.

Milwaukee police are conducting the investigation at the scene, with additional involvement from the U.S. Secret Service.

It’s unknown if the Ohio offcier is part of J.D. Vance’s secuirty detail.

FOX6 News has learned from two independent sources that a police officer from Columbus, Ohio has shot a person near 17th and Vliet in Milwaukee on Tuesday afternoon, July 16. This location is a little more than a mile from the Republican National Convention security perimeter.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office has been dispatched to the scene.

FOX6 News has learned Milwaukee police are handling the investigation at the scene. However, the U.S. Secret Service is playing some role.
