Over the last few days the left leaning news site CNN has been filled with news article regarding Trump’s recent arraignment.
Most of the articles praised the work of Manhattan Alvin Bragg and his team but after the 16-page indictment was released some writers at CNN are singing a different tune.
A recent piece titled “Why the Manhattan district attorney’s case against Trump is so weak” written by David Orentlicher, a professor at William S. Boyd School of Law was recently featured front page on the site.
In the article Orentlicher states Bragg has taken “the wrong path” to prosecute Trump.
He would later write the hush payment case should not even be heard in a courtroom at all.
Excerpt from CNN:
In his decision to prosecute Trump because of his alleged role in falsifying business records related to hush money payments to women who alleged extramarital affairs with him during the 2016 campaign, New York District Attorney Alvin Bragg has taken the wrong path to accountability for the former president.
Trump’s relationship with adult film star Stormy Daniels and his alleged payments to her, via his former lawyer Michael Cohen, raise substantial ethical concerns — but they are not matters that should be addressed in a courtroom.
